In situ Small Angle Scattering of porous materials or composites under pressure The small angle scattering of X-rays or neutrons allows studying mesoscopic structure of materials. In particular, it is possible to monitor in situ changes in the porosity of the materials subjected to mechanical stress. This technique gives information on the size, shape, volume and the surface area of all open and closed pores in a size range of 2 nm to 1 µm. We have developed high pressure cells suitable for small scattering angles. Articles : |
