An “Oscar” for Steven DALY

Steven Daly (équipe SpectroBio) won an award for giving on of the best poster highlight talks at the 31st Asilomar Conference on Mass Spectrometry. The award is given to the 6 best presentations during the two poster highlight talk sessions, which featured 56 talks in total. The award is given based upon the content of the talk and upon entertaining delivery. Steven presented work on action-FRET, a technique which has been developed in the group of Philippe Dugourd, and showed the first results where the method was applied to probe the gas phase structure of a full-sized protein. This result highlights the possibility of the incorporation of this novel technique into the toolbox of native mass spectrometry. |
