''Low dimensional materials are good model systems for studying phonons and electrons and their coupling as well. In this talk we discuss the recent results of Resonance Raman Spectroscopy in linear carbon chains and sulfur chains encapsulated into carbon nanotubes under high-pressure conditions. We show that by using different laser energies and different pressure conditions, it is possible to probe charge transfer properties between the atomic chains and nanotube shell.''
