At the intersection of microfluidics and advanced cell and tissue culture systems, organ-on-chips can be seen as emerging technologies for the modeling of complex cell assembly. However, such systems are still hard to design, fabricate or obtain for the most logical users, e.g. medical and biological labs, and commercially available microfluidic systems are rather simple in their functionnalities. Here, I will present four examples of organ models (cartilage, ovary, oviduct and tumour) and the associated microfabrication technologies (3D printing for soft-lithography) that I developed during my post-doc in the University of Twente, which allowed us to export microfluidic systems out of a microfluidic lab to medical and veterinary teams''
