From the calculation of reaction paths and DFT-based reactivity indices involving biomolecules in the gas phase and zeolite materials to the simulations of hydrated alumino-silicate 2D material surfaces, I will make a short review of the determining studies and projects allowing for interesting perspectives at the bio-organic/mineral interface through the development of new methods for atomistic simulations.
